Clyde Fitch was an American dramatist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, known as one of the most prolific and commercially successful playwrights of the Broadway stage during that era. He wrote both original comedies and dramas as well as historical and social plays, and was among the first American playwrights to gain international recognition.
