Gyp was the pen name of Sibylle-Gabrielle de Riquetti de Mirabeau, Comtesse de Martel de Janville, a French writer active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. She was known for satirical novels and dialogue sketches of Parisian society, and for her outspoken nationalist and antisemitic political views.
