H. Morse (Henry Morse) Stephens

H. Morse Stephens (1857–1919) was a British-born historian who spent much of his career in the United States, writing works on European and especially French Revolutionary history. He is known for his teaching and administrative role at the University of California, Berkeley, and for helping shape the study and archiving of Pacific Coast history.
