J. Gresham (John Gresham) Machen

J. Gresham Machen (1881–1937) was an American Presbyterian theologian and New Testament scholar who taught at Princeton Theological Seminary and later founded Westminster Theological Seminary. He is best known for defending conservative Reformed theology against theological liberalism, notably in his book *Christianity and Liberalism*.
