Valentín Lamas Carvajal was a 19th-century Galician (Spanish) writer and journalist, a key figure of the Rexurdimento. He wrote poetry and prose in Galician and is known for the newspaper *O Tío Marcos da Portela* and the book *O catecismo do labrego*.
