Isabella L. (Isabella Lucy) Bird

Isabella L. Bird (1831–1904) was a British explorer and travel writer of the Victorian era. She is known for her accounts of journeys through regions including the American West, Japan, and Asia, and was among the first women elected to the Royal Geographical Society.
