E. F. (Elizabeth Fries) Ellet

Elizabeth Fries Ellet (c. 1818–1877) was an American writer known for her works of history, poetry, and translation. She is best remembered for *The Women of the American Revolution*, one of the earliest efforts to document the contributions of women to the Revolutionary War.
