H. Rider (Henry Rider) Haggard

H. Rider Haggard (1856–1925) was an English author of the Victorian and Edwardian eras, best known for writing adventure novels. He is remembered chiefly for *King Solomon's Mines* and *She*, works often credited with helping to establish the "lost world" genre.
