Jesse Walter Fewkes (1850–1930) was an American anthropologist, archaeologist, and naturalist known for his pioneering ethnographic work on the Hopi and other Pueblo peoples of the American Southwest. He wrote extensively on Native American culture and archaeology and directed excavations at sites including Mesa Verde.
