Peter Kropotkin (1842–1921) was a Russian writer, geographer, and revolutionary theorist who became one of the most influential proponents of anarchist communism. He is best known for works such as Mutual Aid: A Factor of Evolution and The Conquest of Bread, which argued that cooperation, not competition, drives social and biological progress.
