William T. (William Temple) Hornaday

William T. Hornaday (1854–1937) was an American zoologist, conservationist, and taxidermist who wrote nonfiction works on wildlife and conservation. He is known for helping save the American bison from extinction and serving as the first director of the New York Zoological Park (Bronx Zoo).
